20mph Speed Limit Proposals
Leeds City Council’s Executive Board approved a proposal in March 2018 to provide 20mph speed limits on residential streets across the city wherever appropriate. The aim is to create safer streets across the city, particularly for children, through reduced speed limits.
These 20mph limits cover as many residential streets as possible but do not include those roads with a higher function for the movement of vehicles. The proposals do not include traffic calming and will seek to reduce vehicle speeds by signing alone.
The proposals for Clifford are included in this pdf, proposals for Wetherby Ward. There is a long list of street names, and there are maps further down. Also there are detais of how to respond to the Consultation. Eventually these details should be published by Leeds City Council, probably on their own website.
