20mph Speed Limit Proposals
Leeds City Council’s Executive Board approved a proposal in March 2018 to provide 20mph speed limits on residential streets across the city wherever appropriate. The aim is to create safer streets across the city, particularly for children, through reduced speed limits.
These 20mph limits cover as many residential streets as possible but do not include those roads with a higher function for the movement of vehicles. The proposals do not include traffic calming and will seek to reduce vehicle speeds by signing alone.
The proposals for Clifford are shown in this map.
The Parish Council’s Highways & Traffic Plan Working Group are considering the proposals in detail. If you have any comments then please send them to the clerk.
